Next Wild & Connected Event: Boquet River

Come explore the ever-changing landscape along the Boquet River in New York’s Champlain Valley! Ecologist and botanist Elizabeth Thompson will lead us through these riparian natural communities and help us discover their role in providing connected habitat for plants and animals. Director of Conservation Science for the Vermont Land Trust and co-author of Wetland, Woodland, Wildland: A Guide to the Natural Communities of Vermont, Liz Thompson also helped start Vermont’s Natural Heritage Program. This outing will take place on Saturday, May 19, from 10 am to 2 pm, and pre-registration is required. More details about Riparian Buffers: Natural Corridors for Wild Nature.
