Rally in New Orleans!

In mid-September, the Land Trust Alliance hosted Rally 2013: The National Land Conservation Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana. Northeast Wilderness Trust was excited to be able to send all three staff to this training and networking event. “As a first-timer, I was very impressed by the quality of the workshops and seminars, and I came home with a big bag of new tools and ideas that I am excited to apply to my work,” said Communications Director Jennifer Esser. “This is the preeminent land conservation conference of the year, and it was terrific to connect with many other people and organizations working in our region,” added Executive Director Daryl Burtnett. Speaker Barry Lopez was a highlight of the conference.  Lopez’s words inspired us all to work even harder–as a community–to protect land and preserve wildness into the future. And, despite the busy conference schedule, Wilderness Trust staff did enjoy NOLA specialties such as po’boys, oysters, and live music!
