Alder Stream Access Permit Available Online

Image Alder Stream, MaineAll of the land owned by Northeast Wilderness Trust is open to quiet recreation. Some parcels are also open to limited hunting, including our Alder Stream Preserve in central Maine. A permit is required for access to this preserve, and free permits are now available online. (Permits are also still available through Snow’s Saw Shop in Atkinson, Maine, but we are requesting that people secure permits through our new online portal if possible.) Permits are issued for the calendar year in which they are requested. The permit system provides a map and general information to visitors, ensures that hunters know the regulations, and gives people an opportunity to provide feedback about their observations while visiting the preserve. Please help us steward this forest by respecting the rules and reporting any violations. Alder Stream Preserve includes over 6,000 acres of forest, wetlands, and wildlife habitat owned by Northeast Wilderness Trust. Get your free permit, and enjoy your visit!
