John Davis joins NWT Board of Directors

John Davis has joined the Northeast Wilderness Trust’s Board of Directors.  John co-founded the North American Wilderness Recovery Strategy over two decades ago, which became the Wildlands Project and is now known as Wildlands Network.  John served as editor of Wild Earth, a publication of Wildlands Project for many years and also served on the board.  Currently, John is on the staff of Wildlands Network as a Wildways Advocate.  He focusses on carnivore recovery in the east and wildlife corridor outreach in the west, including working on the effort to permanently protect the watershed and wildlife of the Grand Canyon.  John completed two ultra-trekking trips known as TrekEast in 2011 and TrekWest in 2013 to bring attention to connectivity and wildlife corridor conservation.  John is also an NWT conservation landowner and conserved his property in the Adirondacks with the Trust in 2003.  John’s devotion to wilderness and extensive experience is a true asset to NWT, we are delighted to welcome him to the board.
