A New Chapter for the Trust, Summer 2017 Newsletter

Dear friends,

We are pleased to present the Summer 2017 newsletter from the Northeast Wilderness Trust!

Tewksbury Brook in Sandwich, NH

This has proven to be a summer of transition and celebration. It is our great pleasure to announce that Jon Leibowitz will be joining us as Executive Director on August 30. Jon and his family are eager to return to Vermont, where he and his wife both attended law school and where years ago he was “bitten by the wilderness bug” as a park ranger fresh out of college. Jon understands that the story of wilderness in New England gives people hope. We are eager to introduce him to you!

The Trust is 15 years old this year, and we have accomplished much across our six-state region. Small yet mighty, we remain fiercely committed to our mission and our strategic goal of conserving an additional 10,000 acres by 2020. It’s surely shaping up to be a busy fall.

Please take a moment to catch up with our work and, if you are in Montpelier, drop by to meet Jon!

Happy summer,

Annie Faulkner
Board President
