Outdoor Gear Exchange Chooses The Trust for Nickel Bag Program

Northeast Wilderness Trust is pleased to announce it has been chosen by Outdoor Gear Exchange, on Church Street in Burlington, VT, to receive proceeds from the Nickel Bag Program for the month of November. The Nickel Bag Program donates 5 cents for every bag in-store customers turn down at the cash register during the month—it’s one of the many ways Outdoor Gear Exchange supports local nonprofit organizations. Programs like the Nickel Bag Program are important for educating consumers on the importance of reusing bags in order to reduce the number that make it into the waste stream. Proceeds will support the mission of the Trust to conserve forever-wild landscapes for nature and people. Save a bag, and save wilderness, all in one go!

The Trust is excited to be the November beneficiary of this important program!
