Farewell Jim, Welcome Sigrid!

Jim Nordgren, Executive Director, has decided to pursue environmental work closer to home in New York. We thank him for his service to our organization and mission and wish him well in his new endeavors.

We are delighted to announce that Sigrid Pickering has joined the Northeast Wilderness Trust as our Interim Executive Director.  Sigrid comes to us with an impressive toolkit of conservation experience, including recent training and work experience in conservation land appraisal, evaluation of land trusts as part of the Land Trust Alliance Accreditation Commission, and many years of work with Sweet Water Trust, one of our closest allies and partners. The board of directors is delighted to have found an Interim Director of such talents and experience and is looking forward to working together in the weeks and months ahead. Welcome Sigrid!

 

The Northeast Wilderness Trust is pleased to announce that we are applying for accreditation through the Land Trust Alliance's Accreditation Commission for 2008.  A public comment period on our application is now open.
